- Brian Finnegan €450 Scholarship -
	Courtesy of Brian, we offer a scholarship of €450 to a musician nominated by a Comhaltas branch anywhere in the World. To nominate a deserving candidate, the Branch secretary should send an email to : meitheal2@eircom.net or a letter to : Finnegan scholarship, c/o Meitheal Summer School, Garry Shannon, Ruan, Co. Clare, Ireland. The letter/email should outline the circumstances of the candidate and the reasons why he/she is a deserving case. Details will be treated in strict confidentiality (Please note we will confirm details with the branch secretary by phone before announcing the outcome). All normal Meitheal criteria will apply - including high musical competency. A demo recording should accompany the application letter/email. Closing date: February 25th (in order for unsuccessful nominees to apply later if they so wish by the normal route before March 11th)
- Scholarships for 2011 -
	Meitheal offers a scholarship worth €325 off the 2011 fee to the winners of the following competitions at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann '10 in Cavan. - Composition Scholarships -
	These were awarded to students at Meitheal 2010. See Compositon page. Full scholarship to Meitheal 2011 to the composer of the best tune in the trad idiom. Two half-scholarships to Meitheal 2011 for 2nd place in the composer section.
